One of my heroes, W. Cleon Skousen, recently passed away. Though Brother Skousen would not know me from Adam, his writings have profoundly shaped my political philosophy. I just completed reading his book "The Naked Communist" for the umpteenth time and was struck with its current relevance. Yes, it was a critique of communism, but it addressed the underlying political and social philosophy that is the basis for all forms of collectivism. Mr. Skousen distilled it all down to correct principles and eternal verities. Therein was his real genius.
