Stampin' Up! on Monday announced plans to launch operations in Australia this spring.
The Riverton-based decorative stamp and accessories company entered its first international market in Quebec in mid-2005. Stampin' Up! will offer home-based business opportunities to Australians and open a corporate office in Sydney, the company said in a statement.
Also announced Monday was that Clearsnap Holding Inc., a Washington-based corporation owned by Stampin' Up! owners Sterling Gardner and Shelli Gardner, has purchased Clearsnap Inc., a stamp pad and accessories maker. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Stampin' Up! has been one of Clearsnap Inc.'s largest customers. Following the merger, the companies will continue to operate separately, according to a prepared statement. Clearsnap employs 66 people.
Sterling Gardner will serve as president of Clearsnap Inc., replacing Jeff Winston, the company's founder. The company said there are no plans to move production from its Washington facility.
