PROVO A man who police say was caught on video robbing a cash-and quick-loan store and attacking the clerk at gunpoint is now facing three first-degree felony charges.
Junior Pale Fea, 28, has been charged in 4th District Court with aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and aggravated kidnapping.
If convicted on all three counts, Fea could potentially spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Fea is accused of entering the Cash Valley business in Orem on Jan. 7, vaulting over the counter and tackling the cashier, who was working alone.
A video-tape of the incident shows the woman struggling with a man who forced her at gunpoint to open the safe.
She continued to fight her assailant, refusing to let him duct tape her eyes, hands and feet.
As they fought, the phone rang and the man knocked the phone off the desk in an attempt to silence it. The action only dislodged the receiver and the woman's husband, who was calling, heard the assault and was able to call 911.
When police responded, the woman provided them with the man's address. She recognized the man as a store client who had been in twice before for a loan.
Fea was arrested shortly after the incident as he returned to his home. Police investigators state in court documents that money from the store was found in Fea's possession. A gun, which turned out to be a toy replica, was also confiscated.
Fea remains in the Utah County Jail on $50,000 cash-only bail.
