Five people have been nominated for a vacancy on the 3rd District Court to replace 3rd District Judge Pat Brian, who recently retired.
The nominees are 3rd District Court Commissioner Michael Evans; Robert Faust, a lawyer in private practice; Craig Hall, a partner in Chapman and Cutler; federal defense attorney Mark Kouris; and Assistant Attorney General Carolyn Nichols.
The individuals were chosen by the 3rd District Judicial Nominating Commission, which is seeking comments before forwarding the names to Gov. Jon Huntsman, Jr. for a final selection.
