Game discretion up to parents

I constantly see stuff in the media about video-game ratings and the "problems" with them. The National Institute on Media and the Family has supported a new group to become the rating system of video games.

What you probably don't know is that the new group is actually a for-profit organization, while the Entertainment Software Rating Board is a volunteer group.

Many of you have probably read articles or seen news segments about states creating bills to regulate game sales. Of course, you probably didn't hear the second part to those stories about how they got shot down by judges because they were unconstitutional.

The truth is, it's parental responsibility. The game-rating system works fine for helping parents. Please let the game industry be treated like movies and music. Government and parent groups should stay out of what they don't understand.
