Singers, 16 and older, will audition 9 a.m.-noon and dancers will audition 2-4 p.m. in Centerville Junior High School, 625 S. Main. For the singing auditions, come prepared with 16 bars of music typical of the show. An accompanist will be provided (no pre-recorded music allowed).
Dancers should be familiar with ballet, jazz and tap. Gymnasts are also welcome. Jewett notes that he and his production team are interested in both trained singer and trained dancers, but auditioners do not have to be proficient in both. The show will be double-cast. Bring a resume, current photograph and a list of any possible conflicts during the rehearsal and performance period Jan. 28-May 13. Play dates are April 7-May 13.

DESERT STAR THEATRES, 4861 S. State, Murray, on Feb. 4, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., open auditions for roles in three upcoming Cabaret Theatre productions.
These are by appointment only (266-2600) for males and females, 18 and over. Must be able to perform comedy. Strong singing ability and some dance experience are preferred. Bring a current photograph (head shot) and resume.
Come prepared with a two-minute comic monologue and 16 bars of an upbeat song. Bring your own sheet music. An accompanist will be provided (no minus tracks or a cappella singing). Dress for dance movement. There will be cold readings.
Productions being cast include "Desperate Homemakers," playing March 30-June 10; "Pirates of the Caribbean: The SeaQuel," June 15-Aug. 26, and "Mission Incredibles," Aug. 31-Nov. 11. Rehearsals begin approximately two weeks prior to openings.
