Mormons often say they embrace the non-Mormons in Utah that it is only in our imagination that we are ostracized, ignored or excluded. Why, then, do they always seem to resort to telling us to leave?
Both Needra J. Johnson and Julie VanDenBerghe (Readers' Forum, Jan. 5) tell us that if we don't like it here, leave. Sure. That gives the impression that Mormons are all about tolerance and working together. Guess what? I don't have to leave. I can loathe Utah and still stay here. Mormons don't own the state.
