Miami coach Pat Riley has signed a contract extension, the team announced Sunday without specifying any terms of the deal, including whether it addressed his role as coach or team president. The Heat are 8-3 since Riley took over as coach after Stan Van Gundy resigned last month.

The Los Angeles Clippers beat the Trail Blazers 100-104 on Sunday night for their first victory at the Rose Garden since 1999.The Clippers had lost 12 straight in Portland since an 89-83 win on April 11, 1999, and 26 of 29 since the start of the 1991-92 season.
