SARATOGA SPRINGS Saratoga Springs residents have been invited to a town hall meeting on Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. at the city offices, 1307 N. Commerce.
Residents will be able to discuss taxation and traffic issues which were prime concerns in the November election and figure to be major issues in the upcoming state legislative session with Sen. Mark Madsen, R-Lehi, and Rep. David Cox, R-Lehi.
One of the focal points of the meeting will be the impact on city finances if the state food tax is eliminated, a proposal that has stirred up widespread controversy.
Traffic concerns, which have increased as the population explosion in Saratoga Springs, Lehi and Eagle Mountain has severely strained U-68 and U-73, will also be addressed at the meeting.
