Utah Arts Festival organizers are calling for artists to enter the 30th annual event, scheduled June 22-25 at Library Square.
A jury of experienced art professionals and artists will select up to 110 artists to participate, and 40 artists for a waiting list.
Artists will be selected based on the quality of their work in submitted slides. The judges will be looking for professionalism, originality, creativity and suitability of materials for the festival, said Robyn Nelson, executive director of the Utah Arts Festival.
Applications can be obtained online at www.uaf.org, or at the UAF offices, 331 W. Pierpont Ave. in Salt Lake City. Applications and supporting materials must be submitted by Feb. 3.
The 2006 Utah Arts Festival will feature an artists' marketplace, musical performances, art exhibition, film festival, a children's art yard, and more. The event, organized by the Utah Arts Festival Foundation, has an average attendance of 80,000.
