What they did

Utah and Georgia Tech concluded practices Tuesday. The Utes held their final workout at Laney College in Oakland, while the Yellow Jackets wrapped things up at the City College of San Francisco. Head coaches Kyle Whittingham and Chan Gailey were joined by four players from each team at an afternoon press conference at MoMo's, a restaurant across the street from SBC Park. Evening activities included dinner and a video game challenge at Jillian's and a bowl VIP gathering.

Practice reports

UTAH: The Utes practiced for approximately two hours, much of it with steady rain falling, to wrap things up. Quarterback Brett Ratliff once again did well and is close to full strength after a lingering ankle injury.

GEORGIA TECH: Gailey said the Yellow Jackets are excited to play a game after completing practice sessions. He continued to express concern about matching up with the Utes physically.

Today

A rally is scheduled for Union Square before a kickoff luncheon at the Westin St. Francis Hotel. Georgia Tech and Utah will each hold a walk-through practice at SBC Park.
