The Utah Valley State men's basketball team plays at Weber State on Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. The game can be heard on 1400 KSTAR.
This is the second meeting of the year between the two schools. Earlier this month the Wolverines beat Weber State 68-49 in Orem. Overall, this is the fourth meeting between the two in-state schools.
Weber State comes into Wednesday's game with a 5-6 record. The Wildcats beat SUU 85-72 and IPFW 74-67 before the Christmas holiday. Coric Riggs leads Weber State in scoring at 15.2 points a game and rebounds at 7.5 boards.
"Weber State is on a two-game win streak," Utah Valley State coach Dick Hunsaker said. "They are playing well and with a lot of confidence."
Utah Valley is 6-6 and coming off a 79-54 win over Montana Tech last Thursday. Ben Devoe leads Utah Valley in scoring and rebounding. He averages 12.5 points and six rebounds. Matt Peterson is second in scoring at 12.3 while Sylvester Allison is averaging 10.1 points a game.
Utah Valley State returns to action on Friday when they host High Point in the McKay Center.
