UVSC instructors and students win culinary awards

OREM — Three Utah Valley State College culinary-arts instructors were recently recognized by peers at the American Culinary Federation President's Dinner.

Instructors Troy Wilson and Diana Fallis received awards from Beehive Chefs Chapter of Utah. Wilson, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, was awarded Chef of the Year. Fallis, a recent UVSC graduate, was awarded Junior Member of the Year from the Beehive association.

In a cold food competition, five UVSC students competed against students from Utah and Idaho. All five students received either a bronze or silver medal.
