Nearly 100 elderly homeowners need assistance to remove the snow and ice dumped by the latest winter storm.
LifeCare Bank is looking for volunteers to help these low-income seniors this week and throughout the season shoveling sidewalks and driveways to provide a safe walkway into the homes. The 86 new homes are in addition to the 130 already signed up for snow removal from LifeCare Bank employees and volunteers.
The service is provided at no cost to anyone 60 years or older who lacks assistance from family, church members or neighbors.
To volunteer or to donate money to the program, call 801-887-1266.
