Southern Utah hosts Sacramento State on Saturday in the Thunderbirds' second regular-season home contest. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. in the Centrum Arena in Cedar City.
The Thunderbirds (1-7) have lost back-to-back road games at Idaho and Utah the past two weekends. SUU has played only one home game, a 68-47 victory over Weber State.
Sacramento State (6-4) had a modest two-game winning streak broken last Saturday in a 70-61 defeat at Boise State. The Hornets, who have been picked to finish atop the Big Sky Conference, are 2-3 on the road this year, with the wins coming at San Francisco (85-78) and UC Davis (72-67). Their losses came at No. 22 Nevada (82-74), Utah Valley State (71-69 in OT) and Boise State.
