The attack submarine USS Salt Lake City arrives at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine, Thursday. It will spend a year in Kittery before being towed to Puget Sound for the scrap heap. The Salt Lake City surfaced last month through the ice cap in the Arctic Ocean near the North Pole before heading on to the base in Kittery.
