Preps of the week
In Monday's win over Copper Hills, Cassity recorded 12 points in a balanced attack by the 'Diggers. Four nights later in the championship game of Jordan's four-team bracket against American Fork, Cassity netted a game-high 20 points, thanks in large part to 12-of-12 shooting from the free-throw line.
In the fourth quarter alone, Cassity buried 8-of-8 free throws to ice the four-point victory.
Five games into the season, the 6-foot-1 guard is eighth in Class 5A scoring with a 16.4 average.
"She's helping the other kids rise to another level," said coach Dave Houle of the 3.95 GPA student. "The kids look to her for leadership."
Harrison is leading the state in scoring with nearly 25 points per game. She is also averaging 4.5 assists, and she's grabbed 60 rebounds and has 19 blocks 10 away from a state record. Her on-court efforts helped lift Mtn. View to a 4-0 record and a national ranking, as well as a No. 1 state-wide ranking.
