A Salt Lake City man was charged with attempted criminal homicide Monday following a shooting Dec. 4.
Christopher M. Archuleta, 22, is charged in 3rd District Court with the first-degree felony after opening fire on three people near 1119 W. Illinois Ave., charges state. Vincent Samora was hit in the stomach and was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Before the shooting, one of the victims at the address, Modesto Tapia, was told someone was looking for him, and when he went outside, where Samora and a woman were, Archuleta fired at least three shots, apparently hitting the wrong man, charges state.
