American Tire Distributors Inc. said Friday it has relocated its Salt Lake City operations into a new distribution center in the Ninigret Complex at 1815 S. 4650 West.
The 115,000-square-foot facility nearly quadruples the company's distribution capacity. It replaces a 30,000-square-foot center at 3960 S. 300 West.
The North Carolina-based company in August purchased Wholesale Tire Distributors Inc., Wholesale Tire Distributors of Wyoming Inc., and Wholesale Tire Distributors of Idaho Inc. The three previous Wholesale Tire distribution centers now operate under the American Tire Distributors name.
American operates 73 distribution centers serving 40 states.
