Thank you for the article "Alone in the Fold" (Dec. 3). It was informative and comforting to me as one with a beloved family member who suffers from the same conflicting feelings as did Stuart Matis. No way do I feel that Stuart's parents have glamorized his suicide or implied that suicide is the only answer to same-sex attraction. The book, "In Quiet Desperation," is a wonderful resource for people who have difficulty understanding homosexual feelings. Instead of wrongly judging the Matises, especially in print, their critics should be thankful they have not had to go through what Stuart's parents have.
