Calling all would-be singers/songwriters. The Faith Centered Music Association is holding its annual workshop today and Saturday at the Maeser Auditorium at Brigham Young University.
Cost is free to FCMA members and BYU music students. A guest pass is $15.
Keynote speaker Vaughn Johnson will kick things off with a discussion of scoring for television today at 4 p.m. Registration for Saturday's workshop sessions begins at 8:30 a.m. Workshop participants include Tyler Castleton and Staci Peters, Merrill Jenson, Barry Gibbons, Ron Simpson and Cheri Call. Johnson will also present a session.
There will be a Refiner's Fire Pitching Session as well as an open-mic to allow attendees to showcase their talents. Pre-register for the open-mike with Lori Eastman. For more information, call 422-6396 or mediamusic@byu.edu.
