Salt Lake-based ClearPlay Inc. said Wednesday it has settled its patent dispute with Nissim Corp. and agreed to license certain patent rights from Nissim.
The two companies have dismissed their claims against each other. Other settlement terms were not disclosed.
The companies had been involved in litigation for 18 months. ClearPlay said litigation first over copyright issues and then the Nissim suit has plagued the company since 2002, but now the company faces no "legal entanglements."
ClearPlay offers a product to delete violence, sex and profanity from DVD movies.
