I stood in line for some two hours to get a signed copy of President Jimmy Carter's book. I am 57 years old and have never met a president before. No matter his affiliation, it was an honor to meet a man who once held the sacred office of President of the United States.
In response to Carter's visit, Cameon Schlehuber wrote: "Carter's definition of 'extreme fundamentalism' does represent an extreme but hardly represents the majority, who rejects Carter's so-called 'morals.'"
Read the book again: Carter is a moderate, not an extremist. Carter, burdened with the challenges of our country and bearing the mantle of president, prayed to God more fervently than ever before. It was an honor to stand in the presence of President Carter man more honorable than most.
