PROVO Three men arrested for allegedly stealing some $37,000 in iPods and music equipment are being held in the Utah County Jail on $5,000 cash or bond bail.
Fourth District Judge Samuel McVey set bail for the men during a hearing Monday.
Two 18-year-olds and one 19-year-old were arrested for investigation of burglary and theft. Two of the men are from Pleasant Grove; the other is from Springville.
They appeared via video from the Utah County Jail for the bail hearing.
Two other juveniles were arrested Friday night and taken to the Slate Canyon Youth Detention Center.
Police say the men broke into Bert Murdock Music, 981 N. 1200 West, a week ago and took five guitars, distortion pedals and microphones. Police say they came back Monday morning and took six more guitars. The price tag: around $25,000.
Three days later early Wednesday morning the group allegedly smashed through a glass door at Mac Something in Orem, rushed in and grabbed nearly 30 iPods. The cost to the computer store was almost $12,000.
Police were able to return a majority of the items to the store owners.
The men's next court appearance is Nov. 21 at 8:30.
