2 UVSC professors to read poetry

OREM — Two Utah Valley State College English professors will read poetry at a book signing on Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. in Room 243 of the Learning Resource Center.

Professors Laura Hamblin and Rob Carney will read several of their own poems and be available to sign their books.

Hamblin's book is titled "The Eyes of a Flounder." It is her first book.

Carney, who has published several books, will read from his latest, "This is One Sexy Planet."

The books will be available for purchase at the event.

Both Hamblin and Carney have been named UVSC Teacher of the Year for the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
