RICHARD MENZIES, author of "Passing Through: An Existential Journey Across America's Outback," will read from and sign copies of his book, Friday, 7 p.m., Ken Sanders Rare Books, 268 S. 200 East.

CARALYN and MARK BEUHNER, authors of "Snowmen at Christmas," will sign copies of their book, Saturday, 1 p.m., Frost Books, 1980 E. 2700 South.

DEAN HUGHES, author of several LDS-related books, will deliver the keynote address, "Life of Words, Words of Life," for the Association for Mormon Letters annual conference, Saturday, Gore Auditorium, Westminster College. Conference continues from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Other authors speaking include ROBERT KIRBY, SHANNON HALE, GILES FLORENCE, LYNN KURLAND and KRISTEN RANDLE.
