James LeVoy Sorenson, founder of Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation, has been chosen to receive the Family Award from the One Heart Foundation, in recognition of his work in connecting families around the world through genealogy and DNA analysis.
The 2005 award will be presented at the 17th annual "High Seas" Action Auction of the Trapper Trails Council of the Boy Scouts of America, held Nov. 12 at the Davis Convention Center in Layton.
The Family Award recognizes individuals who make outstanding contributions to strengthening families. Past recipients include Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, and Fred Rogers. More information on the award, including a complete list of recipients, can be found at www.thefamily.com.
