TOOELE A Texas man was killed in a rollover crash this week on I-80 between Tooele and Grantsville.
Killed was: John Rawlings, 24.
A semitrailer truck driver told Utah Highway Patrol troopers that Rawlings sped past him on I-80, according to a UHP news release.
The driver heard a pop, what turned out to be a blown tire, and Rawlings' car went into a sideways skid, said UHP spokesman trooper Jeff Nigbur.
Rawlings' car traveled through the median and into westbound lanes.
The car rolled twice, and though Rawlings was wearing a seat belt, he suffered major head injuries, the release states.
Investigators suspect speed was the main factor in the crash.
