Approximately 45 million people are infected with AIDS/HIV and 95 percent of those live in developing countries. The Global Fund has given $3 billion in 128 countries. The current goals for the fund are to help 1.6 million people receive antiretroviral treatment, to have 52 million people receive counseling about HIV prevention, and help more than one million orphans receive medical and educational support. I'm proud of what has happened and hope that the goals will be achieved. We need to help. It is depressing that there are many people dying from a controllable virus.
