In a tribute to civil rights pioneer Rosa Parks, Utah Transit Authority buses will be driven with their lights on today for two hours.

Bus operators will be asked to turn on their lights from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., during the time of Parks' funeral. Parks died Oct. 24 in Detroit. She was 92.

"This is a small way to pay tribute to a giant of a woman," said UTA spokesman Justin Jones. "We're thrilled to be an agency that welcomes everyone to board our buses and trains."
