Use smaller UTA buses

Instead of raising bus fares to cover higher fuel costs and eliminating bus stops and low-rider routes, UTA should invest in a long-range, permanent, cost-saving system utilizing two bus sizes.

Use current large buses during peak ridership periods and a second fleet of "half-size" buses for low periods.

It is obvious that large buses traveling virtually empty midday, after hours and on weekends are a terrible waste of fuel and money. Small-size buses would reduce the waste.
