CROSS COUNTRY: For the second time this season, junior Josh Rohatinsky is the Mountain West Conference cross country athlete of the week. Rohatinsky, of Provo, won the individual crown in the Blue Race at the NCAA Pre-Nationals meet last Saturday in Terre Haute, Ind. He recorded a career-best, and MWC season-best, 23:30.7 in the 8K event, which is also the second-fastest 8K ran in MWC history.
SOCCER: Junior Bobbi Tillotson, the MWC offensive player of the week, was one of two midfielders named to the Soccer America Team of the Week, as well as one of three named to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week. Last week, Tillotson had 10 points in Cougar wins over Air Force (6-0) and Wyoming (2-0).
Southern Utah
SOCCER: Catherine Johnson recorded her first-career two-goal match, while Holly Davis picked up her third shutout win of the season in goal, to lead SUU to a 2-0 triumph over Mid-Continent Conference foe Centenary Friday night. The Thunderbirds (5-3-6) moved into fourth place in the Mid-Con standings at 2-1-2 with one league match remaining. Southern Utah plays its final regular season road match Sunday against LSU-Shreveport Sunday at 11 a.m. (CDT).
Utah State
MEN'S TENNIS: Utah State's Joao Pinho defeated Jan Steenekamp 6-3 in the third round of the consolation bracket in the ITA Mens Tennis Regionals in Las Vegas on Friday. Junior Dantley Young also competed in round three but lost to Dominik Kaufhold 8-3. In the doubles bracket, JJ Netto and Pinho lost 8-6, but then came back with a 9-7 win and will continue play today.
SOCCER: Senior Chanel Weddle scored her ninth career goal, but Nevada scored 52 seconds into the second overtime to down the Aggies, 2-1, in Western Athletic Conference action Friday. Weddle is now tied with Charity Weston for eighth on the USU career goals list. USU continues its road swing Sunday at at Fresno State.

SOCCER: At Fargo, N.D., UVSC lost a tough 1-0 contest when North Dakota State scored its lone goal in the 70th minute on Friday. The Wolverines will host IPFW and Delaware State on Thursday and Saturday at 2 p.m. IPFW and Delaware State play each other on Friday at 2 p.m.
