Salem High School bid goes to Salt Lake contractor

SALEM — Hughes General Contractors Inc. of Salt Lake City has been awarded a contract to build Salem Hills High School by the Nebo School District Board of Education.

The school will be 250,000 square feet and will serve 1,500 students drawing from nearby Payson and Springville high schools. Nebo School District is one of the state's fastest growing.

Construction will begin in April, said Steve Maughan, Nebo's director of operations.
