PROVO Officers from the Utah County Major Crimes Task Force arrested two Provo men after seizing narcotics with a street value of $29,000 on Friday.
The narcotics were seized from a vehicle police stopped at about 300 South and 900 West and at a house in northwest Provo on 1600 West, police Lt. Mike Forshee said. After stopping and searching the vehicle police found about 60 grams of methamphetamine. From information acquired during the stop, officers obtained a search warrant and searched the house, Forshee said.
They found about 95 grams of methamphetamine, 140 grams of cocaine and 16 grams of heroine at the house, along with a handgun.
Both men were booked into Utah County Jail. One man, 45, is under investigation for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of false government documents. The other man, 26, is under investigation for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of heroine with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a restricted person, Forshee said.
