ATHLETICS: The Crimson Club will host a luncheon featuring football coach Kyle Whittingham and women's basketball coach Elaine Elliott on Thursday at noon in the Rice-Eccles Stadium tower. TENNIS: The University of Utah is hosting the 2005 Wilson/ITA Central Region Women's Tennis Championships on Wednesday through Sunday at the Eccles Tennis Center. The tournament features more than 120 participants from 29 college teams across the region. The field includes competitors from area universities Utah, Boise State, BYU, Utah State and Weber State; Mountain West Conference schools Colorado State, New Mexico and Wyoming; and other top teams such as Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Tulsa. Admission is free all five days.

BYU

FOOTBALL: The Mountain West Conference announced the BYU-Air Force game, scheduled for Oct. 29 at LaVell Edwards Stadium, will begin at 1 p.m. The game will be broadcast live by ESPN-Regional on KJZZ-TV.

WOMEN'S SOCCER: BYU junior midfielder Bobbi Tillotson has been named Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Tillotson, from Sandy, scored four goals against Air Force, tying BYU's record for most goals scored in a game by a single player. Tillotson scored the four goals off five shots, notching her first career hat trick in the process. She also recorded two assists in the Cougars 2-0 win over Wyoming. Her 10-point weekend ranks first in the Mountain West this season and her eight-point game ranks her second all-time in the MWC.

Weber State

FOOTBALL: Weber State safety Tyler DeBry is the Big Sky Conference defensive player of the week. DeBry, a 5-foot-10, 230-pound junior from South Jordan, registered a team-high 11 tackles, forced two fumbles, recovered a fumble, broke up a pass and had half a sack in Weber State's 26-14 conference victory over Sacramento State on Saturday. DeBry forced a fumble at the Sacramento State 15-yard line in the first half to halt a Hornet scoring chance. In the second half, he forced a fumble on a sack.DeBry later recovered a fumble, which led to a Weber State touchdown.

VOLLEYBALL: Junior Kim Ellis is the Big Sky Conference co-player of the week for her performance in WSU's two wins last week. Ellis, a Papillion, Neb., native, averaged 3.67 kills and 1.56 blocks and hit .459 in Weber State's two Big Sky wins over Montana State and Montana.
