UVSC

VOLLEYBALL: The Utah Valley State volleyball team rallied from a two-game deficit to beat the University of Wyoming 21-30, 29-31, 32-30, 30-26, 15-9 in Laramie, Wyo. Cami Manwill led the Wolverine offensive attack with 18 kills. Jessica Endres added 17 while Anne Olsen had 16 kills. Setter Lacee Koelliker had nine kills, hit .308 and did a nice job setting up the Wolverine offensive attack.

CROSS COUNTRY: The UVSC women's cross-country team placed second at the SUU Color Country Invitational. Freshman Kim Rowberry placed second in the meet by finishing the 2.66 mile course in 17 minutes and 10 seconds. Bekah Meier-Poppinga finished sixth overall with a time of 17:18. Kirsten Barney was ninth with 17:26.

Utah State

SOCCER: Junior Charity Weston scored her fourth goal of the season to go along with her fourth assist, but a 3-0 deficit proved too much for Utah State to overcome as it fell at San Jose State, 4-2, on Friday night in a WAC soccer match.

TENNIS: Utah State's men's tennis team recorded 10 singles wins, including a consolation championship, and two doubles wins during the weekend at the Utah Invitational as the Aggies competed against Weber State and host Utah in Salt Lake City.

Joao Pinho was was seeded fifth for Utah State and advanced to the round of 16 after defeating Dan Mascall of Utah 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 in the second round. In the round of 16, Pinho lost to fourth-seeded Nick Coults of Utah 6-2, 7-5.

Utah State's Dantley Young recorded a 4-1 record as he defeated Mathis Saberon of Weber State in the consolation finals by scores of 6-4, 6-3 Saturday morning.

Dantley advanced to the consolation finals by defeating J.J. Netto of Utah State 6-4, 7-6, Trevor Thompson of Weber State 6-2, 6-3, and Brian Marchant of Utah State 6-2, 6-2. He began the competition with a straight sets loss to Jason Yap of Utah 6-1, 6-2 in the first round on Thursday.

Utah State's men's and women's team will conclude its fall season next week at the ITA Regionals as the men's team will play in Las Vegas, while the women's team will compete in Salt Lake City.

Weber State

VOLLEYBALL: Weber State improved to 4-10 in Big Sky Conference action with a 3-2 victory Friday over Montana State at the Dee Events Center. WSU is now 9-10 overall on the season after picking up a 28-30, 30-23, 30-28, 24-30, 15-12 win.
