STOCKTON (AP) Workers at the Deseret Chemical Depot sealed some leaking mustard agent, the depot reported Thursday.
The vapor from two leaking artillery projectiles was detected during monitoring operations in a storage igloo.
Depot workers in protective clothing put the munition in a larger airtight container for continued storage, according to a statement from the depot.
The igloo is covered by earth and the air inside is filtered. No vapor escaped and there was no danger to the surrounding community, the release said.
The depot is about 40 miles west of Salt Lake City.
