After a recount Wednesday, Gordon Poulson beat Danny Walz by two votes, 282 to 280, to move on to the November general election. Poulson and Walz were in the running for Sugar House's District 7 City Council seat. After all the votes were tabulated Tuesday, Poulson held a two-vote lead. A recount was held and the votes remained the same.

Poulson, then, will face Soren Simonsen, who gained the most votes in the Oct. 4 primary, in the general election.
