National League Championship Series (6:19 p.m., Ch. 13): Astros at Cardinals

Survivor: Guatemala (7 p.m., Ch. 2): Pounding rain takes its toll on a tribe.

Alias (7 p.m., Ch. 4): Since moving to Thursdays, this show's ratings — never all that great — have plummeted. Ah, well, maybe Jennifer Garner will be able to spend some time with the baby she's expecting.

Joey (7 p.m., Ch. 5): Joey and Gina pretend to be a married couple in order to persuade a lady (Betty White) to sell him her house. This show is actually getting better this year, but it's probably too late — the ratings are probably irreparable.

Everybody Hates Chris (7 p.m., Ch. 24): Rumor is that Chris beat up a bully.

Smallville (7 p.m., Ch. 30): Still stripped of his super powers, Clark is shot.

Will & Grace (7:30 p.m., Ch. 5): Karen sets Grace up on a blind date (Andy Richter).

CSI (8 p.m., Ch. 2): It looks as if members of a cult took poison.

Everwood (8 p.m., Ch. 30): Amy learns that Ephram is living with Bright and Reid.

Without a Trace (9 p.m., Ch. 2): Roselyn Sanchez joins the show as FBI rookie Elena Delgado, and she immediately joins the search for a missing prostitute. Sanchez has most recently been seen on TV in a pair of failed remakes — the updated "Dragnet" two years ago and the updated "Kojak" earlier this year.

ER (9 p.m., Ch. 5): A patient wakes up after being in a coma for nine years. Which is a very long time. Heck, nine years ago "ER" was a huge hit.
