• BYU Homecoming Parade, 9:30 a.m. (begins at the Marriott Center east parking lot). The year's grand marshals are former BYU football coach LaVell Edwards and his wife, Patty. There are 90 entries in this year's parade, including the J. Reuben Clark Law School's "Briefcase Brigade."

• Classic Films for Seniors, at 10 a.m. at the SCERA Center, 745 S. State, Orem. Today's feature is "Murder on the Orient Express," featuring an all-star cast.

• Utah Valley Transportation and Community Planning Open House, 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Orem Senior Friendship Center, 93 N. 400 East. Learn about air quality, road improvements, new community development and transit plans.
