Utah's LifeCare Bank has received a $30,000 grant that will allow the program to serve more than 4,000 low-income seniors.
A program of the Community Services Council, LifeCare Bank assists Salt Lake-area seniors and people with disabilities with services such as minor home repairs and yard work, supplemental food boxes and prescription assistance.
The grant, announced this week, comes from the Daniels Fund, established in 1997 by cable television pioneer Bill Daniels. The fund also operates the Daniels College Prep and Scholarship Program in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming and Utah.
The Community Services Council also operates the Utah Food Bank, the Ability Bank and the 211 Info Bank.
