Wasatch Front Muslims are observing Ramadan

The fact that Utah has such a large and active Muslim community would also likely come as a surprise to many in the Middle East, Darvish said, so the fact that a photojournalist working for a large Saudi magazine is documenting Muslim life here should be of interest, he said. Saudi Aramco World magazine is "similar in content to National Geographic" for the Muslim world, Darvish said, and the six-month documentary project is under way to provide detailed stories and photos of life in the Beehive State.
