Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (9 p.m., Ch. 5): NBC is plugging last week's episode of "SVU" in here in place of "Inconceivable," which is getting a break after only two weeks on the air. We're told "Inconceivable" will return next week, but after averaging only 5.4 million viewers 40 percent fewer than the canceled "Medical Investigation" got in this time slot last fall don't hold your breath. On the other hand, if NBC canceled every one of its shows that's doing poorly in the ratings it wouldn't have enough programming to fill out its schedule.
Alchemy (9 p.m., ABC Family): Cute TV movie about a college professor (Tom Cavanagh of "Ed") who creates a computer program that can think and express emotions so the professor experiments to see if a woman (Sarah Chalke of "Scrubs") can fall in love with the program. But the professor falls in love with the woman. . . .
