The Utah Transit Authority has extended the time of service and added passenger capacity to its trains on the TRAX light-rail line today.

UTA officials say they expect additional passengers because of events involving The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Semiannual General Conference and the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus.

UTA will operate TRAX trains earlier today and will provide additional vehicles while maintaining its 20-minute service schedule. On the north-south Sandy line, the first four northbound trains will leave the Sandy Civic Center Station at 7:49 a.m., 7:59 a.m., 8:09 a.m. and 8:29 a.m. On the university line, the first westbound train will leave the University Medical Center Station at 9:48 a.m.

UTA reminds its passengers that the City Center and Temple Square stations provide the closest access to the LDS Conference Center, and circus attendees will find closest access at the Delta Center station.
