Incumbent Eric Jergensen, left, is signaled that he has 10 seconds remaining during a debate for District 3 — dominated by the Avenues and Capitol Hill neighborhoods — for the Salt Lake City Council at the Salt Lake City Library. Others participating in the debate, which was broadcast on KCPW, are Edward Aho, Janneke House and Derek Dyer. The primary for the City Council is scheduled Oct. 4.
