'What's Lost, What's Found'

New exhibition is shaped by artists' inherent sensitivity

This method allowed for less of a strategy of placement and fit and more of happenstance. "I felt that overlapping these impressions would reveal much of what I feel, this notion of being midlife and kind of in between health and nonhealth, in between old age and youth, in between being alone and lonely."

Ultimately, those who experience Simpson's art will be moved by its beauty. Where there could have been anger and retribution, there is acceptance and gracious resolve.

With the completion of her 365th collage, Biggs Larsen was back home again, having gone full circle. With Simpson's digital montages, she is discovering her inner strength and determination.

Both journeys were greatly influenced, I believe, by their femininity.
