Davis' McConkie on transportation panel

Davis County Commissioner Dannie McConkie has been appointed to the National Association of Counties' transportation steering committee.

McConkie was appointed during the association's annual conference in Honolulu. McConkie will serve as vice chairman of the committee.

"Dannie McConkie will be a strong advocate for counties on Capitol Hill," said Larry Naake, executive director of the National Association of Counties.
