Glen Canyon National Recreation Area has started work on an environmental assessment and is seeking public input for the proposed Dangling Rope telecommunications project.
The project is designed to provide reliable telephone and broadband service to the Dangling Rope area. Beehive Telephone Co. is legally required by the state to provide service there. Technical requirements include the placement of radio signal repeaters in locations between Dangling Rope and Beehive's connection point in the Bullfrog Bay area.
Public scoping is from Oct. 6 to Nov. 6. Comments may be e-mailed to Devin Kennemore at dkennemore@csquaredllc. com.
