TWISTED 10K RACE

The Twisted 10K adventure race will be held on Saturday.

Teams race to find checkpoints, where they perform fun physical and thought-provoking challenges.

Racers select their own route to the checkpoints, which may be reached in any order. The fastest team to complete all checkpoints and challenges wins.

The event series provides a beginner, sport and pro class for two-person teams. Each event will include only one core discipline — trail running, mountain biking or flat-water paddling. All events will include a unique navigational twist. The event will take from one to three hours to complete.

Visit www.highmountains.com for more information or register at REI.

AFTER HOURS AT TRACY

Tracy Aviary will hold two After-Hours presentations this month to teach more about Utah's birds. The events are free.

Talks are geared for children and adults and will begin at 6 p.m.

Franz Goller, professor of biology at the University of Utah will lead the discussion. White-crowned sparrows are found in the Wasatch Mountains near Alta.

On Sept. 29, the topic will be "Sagebrush, Songbirds and Sage Grouse in a Sprawling World."
