A man tried three different ways to flee from the Utah Highway Patrol on Monday morning, but none worked.
A trooper saw the man run a red light near 4500 S. Redwood Road, and when he pulled the car over, the driver was nervous and for a good reason. The car he was driving was stolen, said UHP spokesman Jeff Nigbur.
The driver's license the man handed the trooper was fake, too.
So the man stepped on the gas, and the trooper gave chase for four blocks. Near 4300 South and 1400 West, the man got out of the car and ran into a nearby neighborhood, Nigbur said.
A K-9 unit was brought to the scene to track the man, who was then seen riding away on a bike. Officers took him into custody without further incident, Nigbur said.
